| This is the area we cover. Take the ferries to Cherbourg, St Malo, Caen or
Le Havre, or drive down from the tunnel. The ports are an hour to two hours away
depending on which port. Calais is four and a half hours away. Scroll down for
more topical information.
This is an area of wonderful contrasts. The beaches, the woodland, the miles of empty lanes,
the history of Fougeres and the medieval chateau. Restaurants are everywhere. This is Herefordshire
and Worcestershire, a sampling of mid wales, and the empty lanes of the Scottish Islands !
Summer is here and is a lovely time to look at houses. If it's a nice property now then it will always be so, whatever the season !
Here's the view down and across the town, taken from
the ramparts of the chateau at Fougeres.
Here's the restaurant in the square. Just waiting for you after a tour
of the chateau. Try L'Estaminettes bar and restaurant for 'moules frites' and a lovely glass of breton cider !
Of course a must is a visit to Mont St Michel. Here's a group on the guided walks across the bay.
And finally at the end of the visit, look at this wonderful sunset view from Mont St Michel.
